Today we rose bright and early, took a to go breakfast from the hotel and headed to San Francisco. Most of our drive in we debated on whether we should wear our tennis shoes or sandals and Jess was wondering if she should change into her pants. It was still a little chilly outside but we figured it would warm up pretty quickly. Well, that was our first mistake of the day! We arrived to a cold, 57 degree, misty day. We bundled up the best we could and went to go get tickets for Alcatraz - there were no more tickets available until NEXT Wednesday - crazy. So we went to Fisherman's wharf where we looked around and decided that we were definately doing inside activities the rest of the day.
After finding our car, we drove down - literally straight down, Lombard Street - the most crooked street in the world. How fun! I was sure glad our car had good brakes! From there we drove through China Town and then off to the Golden Gate Bridge. Our loyal followers will be glad to know that we left a lasting impression on San Francisco as we sang at the top of our lungs with the windows down while crossing on the Golden Gate Bridge - I Love Rock and Roll! San Francisco will never be the same.
We took a scenic trip down HWY 1 - I think we saw a whale! We got to our fabulous hotel, did some swimming and then off to bed for another day of adventure.
